These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Vroomi app and website. By creating an account or using Vroomi, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About these terms
Vroomi is operated by Arri Tech Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England and Wales (company number 13784390), registered office 9 Telford Road, Southall, Middlesex, UB1 3JG. "Vroomi" is a trading name of Arri Tech Ltd. These terms form a legal agreement between you and us.
2. Eligibility & your account
To use Vroomi you must be able to form a legally binding contract, or have appropriate consent to do so. [State your minimum age for an account, and how you handle learners under 18, since learners may legally start driving at 17.] You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Our role — Vroomi is a marketplace
Vroomi is a platform that connects learner drivers with independent driving instructors and driving schools. We are not a driving school and we do not provide driving lessons ourselves. Instructors on Vroomi are independent providers, responsible for their own services, qualifications, insurance, vehicles and compliance with DVSA and other legal requirements.
Any lesson booked through Vroomi is a contract between the learner and the instructor (or school), not with us. We are not a party to that contract and are not responsible for the lessons provided. [This "we are a marketplace, not the provider" position is important — have a solicitor confirm it is correctly and enforceably stated for your model.]
4. If you are a learner
You can use Vroomi to find instructors, request and manage lessons, message instructors, and track your progress. You are responsible for paying your instructor for lessons directly, at the rates they set. You should satisfy yourself that an instructor is suitable and appropriately qualified and insured before booking.
5. If you are an instructor
You confirm that you are legally entitled to provide driving instruction in the UK, hold all required qualifications (such as ADI or PDI status where applicable), and hold appropriate insurance and a suitable vehicle. You set your own prices and manage your own bookings and pupils. You are responsible for your tax, and for complying with all laws that apply to your services. [Confirm whether you verify instructor credentials, and state clearly that responsibility for qualifications/insurance rests with the instructor.]
6. If you are a driving school
School accounts let you manage instructors, leads and vehicles, and pay per instructor seat. You are responsible for your instructors' use of Vroomi under your school, and for ensuring you have the right to add them. Instructors set their own pricing; the school does not receive learners' lesson payments through Vroomi unless stated otherwise. [Confirm the exact commercial relationship between school, instructor and learner, and reflect it here.]
7. Subscriptions & free trials
Instructor and school features are provided on a paid subscription. We currently offer a 60-day free trial. To start a trial you may be asked to provide a valid payment method; you will not be charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends and pay nothing. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and your payment method will be charged at the then-current price. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. [Confirm trial rules, renewal terms, and how cancellation works, so they exactly match your Stripe setup.]
8. Payments & refunds
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in the app and include VAT where applicable. [State your refund policy clearly. Note UK consumer law: consumers generally have a 14-day cancellation right for digital services, though this can be affected once a service begins with the consumer's agreement. Have this reviewed.] Lesson payments between learners and instructors are arranged directly and are not handled by us unless stated.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Vroomi. In particular, you must not: break the law; harass, abuse or harm other users; post false, misleading or unlawful content; attempt to gain unauthorised access; scrape or misuse data; or use Vroomi other than as intended. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit (such as profile details, photos and messages). You grant us a licence to host and display that content as needed to operate Vroomi. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
11. Our liability
Vroomi is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, services or conduct of instructors, schools or learners, nor for lessons arranged through the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). [Liability clauses must comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and UCTA — have a solicitor review this section; overreaching exclusions can be unenforceable.]
12. Suspension & termination
You can stop using Vroomi and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where fair to do so, we will give notice.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date and, where changes are significant, take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Vroomi after changes means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales — confirm], and the courts of [England and Wales] have jurisdiction, subject to your rights as a consumer.
